In a strategic move that highlights its focus on enhancing its finance practice, Morgan Lewis has welcomed back Christopher Lawrence as a partner. Lawrence rejoins the firm to bolster its investment finance practice, bringing his expertise to the Hartford, Connecticut, and New York offices. His reappointment was announced on Thursday.
Christopher Lawrence is renowned for his advisory role to private credit funds, insurance companies, asset managers, and various institutional investors. His practice encompasses both secured and unsecured debt and equity financing transactions. Lawrence specializes in direct lending, private placement, mezzanine, first- and second-lien debt, “one-stop,” and unitranche financings.
Prior to rejoining Morgan Lewis, Lawrence was with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. This transition reflects his continued commitment to delivering dedicated financial advisory and support, a skill set that Morgan Lewis is keen to leverage to provide sophisticated financing solutions to its clients.
