Clio, a leading law practice management software company, has announced that John Foreman will step into the role of chief product officer. With extensive experience in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry, Foreman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is expected to shape Clio’s product strategy and innovation roadmap. His appointment comes as the company continues expanding its suite of legal tech products.
Foreman previously served as chief product and marketing officer at Podium, a platform focused on AI-driven lead generation and management. There, he oversaw go-to-market strategies and product offerings. Prior to Podium, he spent nearly a decade at Mailchimp, where he held several senior roles, including chief product officer and chief data scientist. At Mailchimp, Foreman played a pivotal role in developing product strategy and leading data science and customer research initiatives.
Clio CEO Jack Newton expressed confidence in Foreman’s ability to contribute to the company’s progress, stating, “AI is continuing to change the game in legal tech, and we’re here to set the pace. John has the experience, precision, and ambition to help us redefine how law firms operate. He understands what’s at stake for this profession, and he’s here to deliver bold solutions that move the industry forward.”
This leadership change follows the departure of Hemant Kashyap, Clio’s first chief product officer, who had joined the company in early 2023. Clio acknowledged Kashyap’s contributions, noting that he played a key role in advancing the company’s product development over his tenure. More details can be seen in Clio’s official announcement, reported by LawNext.
