The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit has affirmed the dismissal of a lawsuit in which parents challenged the Poudre School District’s gender-identity policies, claiming these policies infringed upon their substantive due process rights. Specifically, the parents argued that the district’s policies, which discourage disclosure of transgender or nonbinary students’ gender identities, violated their rights to the care, custody, and control of their children.
