Willkie Farr & Gallagher has announced the addition of Chelsea Pizzola as a partner in its asset management department and digital works practice based in Washington. Pizzola, whose expertise encompasses derivatives, commodities, securities, and banking regulatory and enforcement matters, will also focus on emerging areas of cryptocurrency and digital assets regulation.
Prior to joining Willkie, Pizzola served as associate general counsel at DRW, a diversified trading firm. Her role at Willkie underscores the firm’s ongoing commitment to expanding its knowledge and capabilities in financial regulations at a time when digital assets are increasingly becoming central to regulatory discussions.
In this new position, Pizzola is expected to leverage her extensive experience in the financial regulatory landscape to navigate complex issues for clients, particularly in the fast-evolving sector of digital currencies. The move reflects Willkie’s strategic efforts to strengthen its standing within the convergence of traditional financial services and innovative technologies.
