Kasowitz Benson Torres Rebrands as Founding Partner Dan Benson Departs to Launch New Firm

Dan Benson, a founding partner of Kasowitz Benson Torres, has left the firm to establish his own law practice. This departure marks another change for the firm, known as part of the Am Law 200, which will now be rebranded as Kasowitz LLP. The firm has acknowledged Benson’s “decades-long dedication, contributions and friendship” in light of his decision. This transition occurs amid a notable phase for Kasowitz LLP, which has experienced a reduction of 17 lawyers from its roster between 2023 and 2024, alongside the earlier exit of five partners to Loeb & Loeb.
