Latham & Watkins Strengthens White Collar Defense Team with Ex-Congressional Investigator Vanessa Le

Latham & Watkins has announced the addition of Vanessa Le as a partner in its White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice in Washington, D.C. Le brings extensive experience from both the legislative and executive branches, enhancing the firm’s capabilities in congressional investigations and national security matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Le served on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) Majority staff from 2017 to 2021. In this role, she was the lead investigative counsel for a bipartisan investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections, overseeing over 180 transcribed interviews and co-authoring the committee’s comprehensive report. She also provided legal advice to SSCI leadership on oversight of intelligence activities, constitutional authorities, and whistleblower matters.

From 2021 to 2023, Le worked at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where she led the intelligence community’s interagency effort to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and advanced key initiatives for the Director of National Intelligence. During her tenure at ODNI, she completed a detail as Associate Counsel in the Office of White House Counsel, handling sensitive oversight matters.

Le began her legal career as an Honors Attorney at the National Security Agency and holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA from Harvard University.

Kevin Chambers, Global Co-Chair of Latham’s White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice, stated, “Vanessa’s experience leading government investigations and managing highly sensitive national security matters is exactly what our clients are looking for.” Le expressed her enthusiasm, noting that Latham’s global platform offers “tremendous opportunity to serve companies, boards, and individuals at the highest level and to work with a world-class bipartisan team on cutting-edge investigations and national security matters.” ([menafn.com](https://menafn.com/1109784750/Latham-Adds-Leading-Congressional-Investigations-And-National-Security-Partner-In-Washington-DC?utm_source=openai))
