Myriah Gambrell-Glenn Named General Counsel for Mars Snacking Division, Steering Legal Strategy Amid Global Expansion

Mars, Incorporated has announced the appointment of Myriah Gambrell-Glenn as General Counsel for its Snacking division, effective December 1, 2025. Based in Chicago, Gambrell-Glenn will oversee legal strategy, compliance, and risk management for a business that includes prominent brands such as M&M’S and SNICKERS. She will report directly to Andrew Clarke, President of Mars Snacking, with a dotted line to Stefanie Straub, Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Mars, Incorporated.

Gambrell-Glenn’s tenure at Mars spans 15 years, during which she has held senior legal roles across multiple business segments and geographies. Most recently, she served as General Counsel for Mars Pet Nutrition, where she played a pivotal role in integrating major acquisitions, including Champion Petfoods and Pretty Litter. Prior to joining Mars, she worked as a patent attorney at Dykema Gossett and earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School.

In her new role, Gambrell-Glenn will lead the global legal function for Mars Snacking, a division with more than 34,000 associates and a presence in over 150 countries. She will also serve as a member of both the Mars Snacking Leadership Team and the Mars Legal Leadership Team.

Andrew Clarke, Global President of Mars Snacking, commented on the appointment: “Myriah’s pedigree speaks for itself. She has built an outstanding track record at Mars, combining deep legal expertise with strategic insight. Just as importantly, she is a dedicated people leader who has a keen ability to spot potential and turn it into performance.” He emphasized that her combination of skills will be invaluable as the company continues to navigate today’s complex legal and regulatory environment while expanding its global snacking footprint.

Gambrell-Glenn expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I’m stepping into this role at a generational moment for our snacking business. It’s clear to me our legal team is uniquely positioned to be a strategic partner by enabling and accelerating our snacking growth agenda—creating the conditions for innovation to flourish at speed and scale while driving strong governance. I’m looking forward to partnering with such a talented team as we take on this opportunity together.”

This appointment comes at a time of significant growth and transformation for Mars Snacking. The company has been actively expanding its Health & Wellness division, with Blas Maquivar appointed as Global President of Health & Wellness in April 2024. Under Maquivar’s leadership, the division has focused on nurturing and globally scaling existing brands like Nature’s Bakery, Trü Frü, and KIND, aligning with Mars’ ambition to double its Snacking business and grow revenue to $36 billion within the next decade.

Additionally, Mars has made strategic investments to support innovation and manufacturing efficiencies. In March 2024, the company announced a $70 million investment in its Hackettstown, New Jersey site, which includes the development of an R&D Innovation Studio featuring a new test kitchen and packaging lab. This initiative aims to increase the speed of innovation and development to meet evolving consumer preferences.

The appointment of Gambrell-Glenn as General Counsel for Mars Snacking underscores the company’s commitment to strong governance and legal leadership, supporting the continued expansion of its global snacking footprint amid an increasingly complex legal landscape facing businesses everywhere.
