Withers Appoints Ceri Vokes as CEO to Lead Next Phase of Growth in Private Client and Tax Services

Withers, the international law firm renowned for its private client and tax services, has announced that Ceri Vokes will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer starting July 2026. Vokes, currently co-head of the firm’s private client and tax team in Europe, brings nearly 25 years of experience in the legal sector. Her practice focuses on advising high-net-worth individuals, including entrepreneurs, founders, and family offices, on a broad spectrum of tax and trust planning matters. She is recognized for her approachable style and ability to simplify complex advice. Vokes has been with Withers since 2013 and has held a directorship at Withers Trust Corporation Limited since July 2013. She will succeed Margaret Robertson, who has served as CEO since 2007. This leadership transition follows the firm’s recent appointment of Paul Hewitt as chair, effective July 2025. Hewitt, a private client disputes partner, will succeed Justine Markovitz, who has led the firm through significant international expansion. These strategic leadership changes reflect Withers’ commitment to its private client and tax practice and its focus on serving high-net-worth individuals and families globally. The firm continues to strengthen its position in the legal market through these appointments.
