Recent data from the July 2025 bar examinations in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Georgia reveal notable trends in law school performance, with several institutions surpassing expectations.

In Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh School of Law achieved a first-time pass rate of 92.71%, with 89 out of 96 candidates succeeding. Similarly, Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law reported a 92.86% pass rate among first-time takers, with 104 of 112 candidates passing. These figures are detailed in the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners’ statistics for the July 2025 examination.

In Tennessee, Belmont University’s College of Law led the state with a 96.9% pass rate for first-time test takers on the July 2025 Tennessee Bar Exam, an improvement from the previous year’s 94.7%.
