Litera has unveiled a new iOS mobile app for Litera One, its AI-enabled legal platform, bringing its agentic AI capabilities to Apple devices. This development introduces what the company terms “true two-way continuity,” significantly bridging the gap between desktop and mobile work environments.
The introduction of this app addresses an ongoing challenge for legal professionals: maintaining productivity while juggling multiple devices and locations. Traditionally, legal tasks initiated in Microsoft Word, Outlook, or even the Litera One web interface necessitated repeated transitions or restarting of tasks when switching to a mobile device. The new app allows lawyers to seamlessly pick up their work across platforms without losing crucial context.
Pasquale Colella, Vice President of Global SaaS Operations at Litera, highlighted the significance of this advancement, noting, “Lawyers need to stay productive whether they’re traveling, moving between meetings, or preparing to walk into a client conversation. With Litera One Mobile, that continuity is seamless.”
The iOS app integrates Lito, Litera’s AI agent, supporting essential legal workflows, including conversational AI with both text and speech-to-text inputs, comprehensive document review, and document comparison using Litera’s well-regarded Compare technology. This facilitates AI-powered analysis, summary creation, and risk identification, which are critical for business development functions like creating client summaries and updates.
Litera emphasizes that the app not only ensures secure access to firm-specific documents, data, and workflows but also empowers professionals to review extracted terms and risk insights on-the-go, thus differentiating itself from many AI platforms still confined to desktop or web interfaces. The goal is to keep legal work flowing without interruption, maintaining context and momentum across varying environments.
In conjunction with the app launch, Litera also announced the addition of French-Canadian language support in Microsoft Word for Litera One. This allows legal professionals to interface in French Canadian, and use the platform effectively with French Canadian documents.
The Litera One iOS application is currently available for download via the Apple App Store, aimed at enhancing mobility and efficiency for legal practitioners worldwide.
