Aderant Appoints First Female Chief Revenue Officer Amid Women’s History Month

In recognition of Women’s History Month, Aderant, a key player in legal business software, has named its first female Chief Revenue Officer. Aisling Fenelon, a seasoned professional with over 25 years in legal technology, steps into this role. Fenelon ascended from her earlier position as vice president of sales for North America, having dedicated nearly 11 years to Aderant.

Fenelon’s appointment as CRO signals a significant milestone for Aderant, a company with nearly five decades of operational history. Her duties now encompass global revenue strategy, with a keen focus on aligning Aderant’s product offerings with clients’ pressing business challenges, ultimately enhancing law firm efficiency. Chris Cartrett, Aderant’s President and CEO, emphasizes Fenelon’s blend of industry insight and client-centric focus, highlighting her suitability for this pivotal position. Cartrett remarked, “Her leadership, credibility, and institutional knowledge make her uniquely qualified to lead our revenue organization and strengthen the value we deliver to clients around the world.”

With a rich background starting as a business development executive at Aderant, Fenelon previously directed business development and took on the vice president of sales role in 2022, managing regional sales strategies. Her prior experience includes client-focused roles at Cicayda and LexisNexis. A Nashville native, Fenelon’s academic credentials include a law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.

Fenelon’s promotion illustrates the importance of diversity at the executive level. She noted, “Promoting leaders from within sends a powerful message. Diverse leadership teams foster stronger dialogue and better decision-making, and representation at the top shows our people that there is a clear path to grow and lead here.” For the complete story, visit LawNext.
