In a recent move towards enhancing litigation workflows, Everlaw and Legora have announced a new technology partnership designed to streamline access between document discovery and legal drafting. This collaboration marks a significant step in bridging the divide traditionally faced by litigation teams between the discovery of documents and the preparation of legal documentation.
The partnership allows legal professionals using Legora’s drafting tools to directly access documents stored on the Everlaw platform without the need to switch between software environments. This seamless integration aims to maintain consistency and accuracy in the evidentiary record, diminishing the need for cumbersome manual data transfers.
A critical component of this integration is its approach to access controls, whereby users in Legora can only view documents they have existing permissions for in Everlaw. As the two companies seek to respect and reinforce permission governance, this feature ensures that sensitive case materials remain secure.
The combined technological offering leverages Legora’s capabilities in legal research alongside Everlaw’s AI Deep Dive functionality. This latter feature has seen growing adoption among legal practitioners for its ability to analyze vast document sets efficiently, enhancing the identification of pertinent evidence.
Greg Marliave, Everlaw’s VP of Product, underscored the importance of accommodating the diverse tool preferences found in legal drafting workflows. Meanwhile, Adrian Parlow, VP of Product at Legora, highlighted the intent to integrate factual records within the drafting process, emphasizing the production of accurate and consistent legal work products.
The partnership is set to promote enhanced efficiency for a broad array of users; Legora is already being utilized by over 1,000 law firms including top names like White & Case and Goodwin, while Everlaw counts Fortune 100 corporate counsel and numerous Am Law 200 firms among its clientele.
As legal professionals await the availability of this integration, both companies continue to underline their commitment to supporting the evolving needs of legal teams in managing their complex workflows.
