Legal software company
Clio
has elevated Ronnie Gurion to the roles of President and Chief Operating Officer. This promotion expands on the responsibilities Gurion has held since
joining
as COO in 2021. The move comes as Clio continues to navigate a transformative period marked by significant milestones.
Under Gurion’s operational leadership, Clio’s annual recurring revenue surged from $100 million to
$500 million.
Over the past year, Clio executed a $500 million Series G funding round, valuing the company at $5 billion. It also completed a
$1 billion acquisition of vLex, integrating AI-driven research capabilities into its existing practice management solutions. In addition, Clio
unveiled Clio for Enterprise, targeting larger law firms and organizations.
Currently serving over 400,000 legal professionals across more than 130 countries, Clio has positioned itself as a pivotal player in legal technology. In his enhanced capacity, Gurion will continue overseeing global operations, customer experience, and strategic post-acquisition integrations. He will collaborate closely with CEO and founder Jack Newton to shape the future trajectory of the company.
Commenting on the promotion, Newton praised Gurion’s role as a driving force in Clio’s recent growth phase. “Ronnie has been the operating force behind much of what Clio has built over the past four years,” Newton stated, commending Gurion’s ability to scale the company and foster trust among stakeholders globally.
Prior to his tenure at Clio, Gurion held significant roles at notable companies such as Uber, Orbitz, Expedia, and Airbnb. As General Manager and Global Head of Uber for Business, he successfully scaled the platform’s operations to multi-billion-dollar gross bookings across 30 countries, experience that he has brought to bear at Clio.
