The keynote session on Wednesday morning at this year’s ILTACON featured a poignant tribute to the 25th anniversary of 9/11. This reflection included a 30-minute film produced by ILTA, showcasing interviews with ILTA members and others who were present in Manhattan on that day. Following the film, an extended moment of silence was held, as the names of the lives lost were displayed. The memorial aimed to honor those impacted by the tragic events, resonating deeply with attendees.
The video component of the tribute, which includes edited interviews from the ILTACON memorial session as well as full interviews of each featured person, is now accessible for broader viewing. Among those interviewed was the former editor-in-chief of The National Law Journal, who has previously shared his recollections of 9/11 in various posts, such as here and here.

The initiative was led by Dawn Hudgins, ILTA’s Chief Experience Officer, who organized the filming and editing during the opening days of ILTACON. The successful execution of this memorial tribute was managed alongside Hudgins’ existing responsibilities, demonstrating a commendable effort.
