Alt Legal Acquires TM Cloud’s Docketing Business, Solidifying Market Dominance

Alt Legal, the cloud-based trademark docketing software company, has announced their fourth and most recent acquisition to be the docketing business and customers of TM Cloud, a competing provider of trademark and intellectual property docketing software. This acquisition sees Alt Legal expanding its customer base even more both domestically throughout the United States and across the globe, including Europe, Africa, and Australia.

The customers of TM Cloud have been informed of this acquisition and will overtime be migrated to Alt Legal’s platform. CEO of Alt Legal, Nehal Madhani, has announced intentions to personally get in touch with every TM Cloud customer, ensuring a smooth transition as well as to address any arising concerns or questions.

To further ensure a smooth transition, Alt Legal has committed to maintaining current pricing for TM Cloud customers till the end of this year. Additionally, they will also gain complimentary access to Alt Legal’s Trademark Protection products, which remain vigilant for potential trademark infringements and provide customer alerts. Madhani has asserted their willingness to extend free, unlimited training sessions and customer support during this transition phase.

Alt Legal’s fourth acquisition follows its prior acquisition of the §2(d) Citation Watch business owned by Canadian company Towergate Software last year. The company also acquired the trademark docketing software businesses of MarkTend and Name Warden in 2019.

In the light of this acquisition, TM Cloud has decided to discontinue its docketing product. CEO of TM Cloud, Lucinda Stevenson, regards her customers’ transition to Alt Legal optimistically. Acknowledging the recipient company’s reputation for its client-focused approach, she expressed confidence in their ability to provide TM Cloud’s clientele with advanced automation, commitment to innovation. Furthermore, customers will find themselves incorporated into the Alt Legal Community, a network of thousands of trademark professionals globally to share knowledge and resources.

In the face of these re-arrangements, it has been confirmed that neither Stevenson nor the co-founder of TM Cloud, Louis Stevenson, who retired earlier this year, will be joining Alt Legal. Meanwhile, Alt Legal evidently continues its robust stride in innovative execution, as evidenced by the multiple product launches, automated international trademark docketing capabilities, and improved calendar integrations in the last three years.
