Uniting Global Offices: Harneys’ William Peake Tackles Leadership in Diverse Offshore Firm

As of January, William Peake, an Irish litigator who transferred to the Cayman Islands early in his professional journey, now carries the responsibility of the global managing partner at offshore firm Harneys. At 45 years of age, Peake is juggling the task of unifying a diverse firm culture across Harneys’ 11 offices located throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Established in the British Virgin Islands, Harneys boasts nearly equal numbers of commonwealth-qualified lawyers in its offices in the Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong.

As leader to approximately 200 commonwealth-qualified lawyers, Peake dedicates his efforts in nurturing a universal and inclusive office culture, while simultaneously having to promote the credibility of offshore jurisdictions. His initiative aims to establish coherence and unity in the multi-faceted and globally stretched firm. As described in Law.com’s original report, Peake’s task is demanding, yet vital, to the performance and reputation of the international offshore company.
