Hunter Biden Strikes Back: Lawsuits Target Computer Repairman and Former Trump Aide

In an ongoing legal saga, Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has fired back at constant public attacks and lawsuits by launching his own legal pursuits.

Biden recently filed a lawsuit against John Paul Mac Isaac, a Delaware computer repair technician who claims to have found and released contents from an abandoned laptop belonging to Biden. He also sent a cease and desist letter through his lawyer, Abbe Lowell, to former President Donald Trump, demanding an end to defamatory comments. He is also taking action against former Trump aide, Garrett Ziegler, who has apparently profiteered from the same laptop.

Ziegler, at just 27 and a player in numerous controversial MAGAworld incidents, was a former team member of Trump’s economic adviser, Peter Navarro. Ziegler gained notoriety for his involvement in the infamous Oval Office showdown when Trump attempted to appoint Sidney Powell as special counsel to investigate the 2020 election against the fierce objections of Pat Cipollone, then White House Counsel.

Ziegler was later called by the January 6 Select Committee, where he invoked his Fifth Amendment rights. Post-committee, he made a public rant against the committee members, claiming their action was racially and religiously motivated.

According to Above the Law, Ziegler went on to develop a website to distribute various versions of the alleged Biden’s laptop content, an activity that put him on Biden’s legal radar. Ziegler is being sued in the Central District of California for purportedly breaching the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and multiple state laws. The suit quotes Ziegler’s public comments about gaining access to the laptop content, including personal photographs.

Represented by Winston & Strawn, Biden is seeking injunctive relief, punitive damages, and the surrender of all profits made by Ziegler from the leaked data. The case is yet to be assigned to a judge.
