PwC Legal in Australia has suffered another loss, making Samantha Smart at least the seventh lawyer to depart the firm amidst the ongoing tax advice scandal. Smart, a former director in PwC’s legal practice, has transferred to Squire Patton Boggs where she will serve as a corporate partner located in Perth.
This move represents a homecoming for Smart, who dedicated seven years to Squire Patton Boggs as a senior associate and counseling officer. This change in professional landscape comes after she joined PwC in 2018.
This recent exodus comes on the heels of PwC Legal’s ongoing tax advice scandal, which remains under scrutiny.
