Judge Blocks Controversial Testimony in California Disbarment Trial of John Eastman

In recent developments linked to the California disbarment trial of John Eastman, the presiding judge has once more intervened to prevent the inclusion of contested testimony. The decision marks the second consecutive day that Eastman’s defence team has had its attempts to introduce evidence from a witness – intended to raise doubts regarding the results of the 2020 election – quashed by the court.

However, the judge found that this was an attempt to present evidence that was suited only for delivery by a designated expert. He subsequently intervened to prevent the testimony from being included as part of the defence’s case. The matter continues to draw attention from several quarters, particularly due to the sensitive nature of the evidence being discussed.
