Peter Wiley, prominent figure and Chief International Counsel of The Walt Disney Co., has announced his departure from the company after an impressive tenure of 27 years. Wiley has dedicated his entire in-house career to Disney, which he joined in 1996 after a five-year stint at the London-based law firm, Frere Cholmeley Bischoff.
In 2005, he assumed the position of Chief Regional Counsel for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, operating from his base in London. Wiley’s exit statement was shared on LinkedIn indicating that he believes “now is the right time for me to take a short break, properly disconnect for a moment and then focus on what might come next.”
