In a significant lateral move, corporate partner Walid Salib has been appointed as head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) in Saudi Arabia by Dhabaan & Partners, the associated firm with Eversheds Sutherland. Salib, who specialises in a variety of corporate matters across diverse sectors, was previously with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He spent nearly 13 years there, with his most recent role being the head of its Saudi M&A practice.
Salib’s expertise extends to public and private M&A, joint ventures, co-investments, and corporate structuring. His industry experience spans sectors including healthcare, education, logistics, infrastructure, and food and beverage. In his prior experiences, he has successfully executed transactions in the oil and gas and pharmaceutical sectors as well.
