Greenberg Traurig Bolsters Regulatory Expertise with Akihiro Wani Hire in Tokyo

Expanding its regulatory offering in Japan’s banking and financial markets, Greenberg Traurig recently welcomed Akihiro Wani to its team. Wani, who was previously senior counsel at Morrison Foerster and former joint managing partner of Linklaters in Tokyo, now joins as a senior counsel. This move comes shortly after the U.S. firm hired Yuko Ino, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe’s Japan real estate practice head, as a shareholder. Ino wasn’t the sole hire, being joined by real estate and securitization lawyer, Koh Ueda, who took up his role as of counsel. The complete details of the hires can be found here.
