Goodwin Procter has strengthened its debt finance practice in Asia, with Stephen Howard, a debt and leveraged finance attorney, recently stepping in as partner. Howard was last seen working as a local partner at White & Case in Hong Kong.
The firm’s newest addition follows the recent acquisition of Matthew Nortcliff from CMS, where he led the funds and indirect real assets practice in Asia. This was Goodwin’s first lateral partner hire since its launch in Singapore in October of the previous year.
In parallel, White & Case’s debt capital market partner Margie Chan has left the firm’s Hong Kong practice recently.
