Herbert Smith Freehills, the global full-service corporate law firm, has recently experienced personnel changes in its Singapore office. The firm suffered the loss of two of its aviation finance partners, Siva Subramanian and Samuel Kohlemainen. Both partners have had distinguished roles within the firm, contributing their expertise to the firm’s aviation finance department.
Siva Subramanian has already moved to Allen & Gledhill, a Singapore law firm, where he now serves as the head of aviation finance and the co-head of its maritime and aviation practice. The future plans for Samuel Kohlemainen are still uncertain, as he is currently serving his notice period at the firm.
The reasons for these departures still remain unclear and their impacts on the firm are yet to be seen. The implications of these changes, however, could affect the dynamics of aviation finance practices in Singapore’s competitive legal market.
