Jennifer Johnson to Step Down as Dean of Lewis & Clark Law School After 43-Year Tenure

After an illustrious tenure of 43 years with Lewis & Clark Law School, including serving as dean for a decade, Jennifer Johnson is set to step down from her position as dean this August. She has been an instrumental figure at the institution, having succeeded Robert Klonoff in 2014, who served as dean from 2007 to 2014.

Speaking on her eminent departure, Johnson shared the immense honor she has felt in her role, taking pride in the achievements of the law school’s faculty, students, and staff. “It has been an absolute honor to have served as dean of our law school during these past 10 years,” said Dean Johnson.

Klonoff continues to add to the academic prestige of Lewis & Clark as the current Jordan D. Schnitzer Professor of Law. More details about his work can be found on his bio.

As the law school community prepares for this transitional period, no mention of a potential successor has yet been announced for Johnson’s role.
