Above the Law Launches 15th Annual Holiday Card Contest for Legal Professionals

Holiday cheer for legal professionals is set to take on a new form this year with the announcement of the Above the Law’s 15th annual holiday card contest. Biglaw bonuses and festive raises are already underway marking the start of the season, however, it’s the contest that’s creating palpable excitement amongst the readers.

In keeping with the pattern of previous years, eager participants are starting to flood Above the Law’s inbox with queries about the contest’s start date. An official confirmation has come forward – the contest has opened its doors for entries starting from today.

Being a legal website, certain rules and guidelines are set in place for fair participation:

  1. Only e-cards will be considered for the contest. This reflects Above the Law’s commitment to the environment and the changing working condition amid the global pandemic.
  2. For submitting an e-card, it should be emailed either as a link to the card or as an attachment. Links are the preferred method of submission.
  3. Entries should be limited to holiday/Christmas cards deemed as worthy contenders. Judges are looking for cards that display unusual cleverness, humor, or coolness, they aren’t interested in safe or boring inputs.
  4. Each submission should include a brief explanation of why the card is compelling. These explanations might be quoted if the submission makes it to the finalists.
  5. The deadline for submissions is three weeks from now i.e., Friday, December 8, at 11:59 p.m. New York time.

Look forward to seeing your submissions. Happy holidays!
