Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. recently filed a Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA) compliant against Celltrion Inc. The complaint was in the district court for the northern district of West Virginia. The essence of the litigation was a request from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals for the court to block Celltrion’s biosimilar product “CT-P42” from entering the United States market.
CT-P42 is Celltrion’s proposed biosimilar of Regeneron’s drug, Eylea®, also known as aflibercept. The details of the legal complaint can be found in the case Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. v. Celltrion Inc., N.D.W.Va., No. 1:23-cv-00089.
