Kirkland & Ellis has announced the return of Josh Birenbaum to their firm, where he will be positioned as a partner within the corporate practice group. According to the official statement issued on Monday, he joins the firm from Allen & Overy’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Birenbaum represents an extensive clientele, including private equity funds and their portfolio companies, public and private firms, and financial institutions. He has a broad base of clients working in sectors ranging from technology, consumer products, manufacturing, to aerospace, defense, residential and commercial services.
Birenbaum is known for his expertise in managing strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and joint ventures. His return to Kirkland & Ellis is expected to strengthen these areas within the corporate practice group.
