Elliott Portnoy, the long-serving chief executive officer of Dentons, has announced that he will not be seeking another term. Dentons has subsequently started the search for a successor. Portnoy, whose current term will end in November 2024, has served as CEO for 11 years, leading the firm through significant growth and development, establishing it as one of the major legal institutions on the global stage.
Prior to his CEO role at Dentons, Portnoy held the position of global CEO for SNR Dentons for three years. This followed the 2010 merger of U.S. based firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and the U.K. based Denton Wilde Sapte.
