It’s been eight months since Birmingham-based law firm Bradley Arant Boult Cummings launched its Atlanta office, and so far, growth seems to be on track. In a recent statement, the Atlanta office managing partner, Sidney Welch, expressed optimism at the progress made in establishing the office as a full-service provider, with a focus that had initially leaned heavily towards litigation.
Bradley Arant hit the ground running in Atlanta with 20 lawyers initially, sourced from a mix of Am Law 200 ranked and mid-sized law firms. Since then, the firm has notably boosted its headcount, now boasting an impressive roster of 33 attorneys, with valuable additions from prestigious firms such as King & Spalding and Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz.
As can be gleaned from Welche’s assertion, the firm seems to be streamlining growth in certain areas where we usually observe other firms intentionally curbing their increase in terms of lateral hires. This charter has seemingly stood Bradley Arant in good stead as they continue to recruit and expand in the Atlanta region.
