Despite the risk associated with cross-border mergers during a pandemic, these combinations doubled in number from two to four. In fact, at least nine mergers have been announced and are anticipated to be finalized in 2024, according to the consulting firm Fairfax.
While merger trends can fluctuate based on a range of factors, the ongoing interest in consolidation among law firms, described as being at an “all-time high,” suggests this trend of increased mergers may not only continue but could also heat up in the coming year.
