According to a recent report, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is dealing with an influx of patent applications, however, the number of patents being granted has dropped to its lowest since 2019. This discrepancy is suggested by a research firm to be indicative of an agency backlog. Despite these circumstances, technology conglomerate Samsung continues to hold its lead in the arena.
