Law Student Tackles New Challenge: Outwitting, Outlasting, and Outplaying on ‘Survivor’ Season 46

One might draw some parallels between attending law school and being a participant on the reality show “Survivor.” Both require outwitting, outlasting, and outplaying your competitors. Striking a chord of truth, Charlie Davis, a third-year law student at Boston College Law School, is stepping up the ante. From thriving in the world of law to substantiating his mettle in Survivor, his journey so far seems nothing less than an adventure.

This articulate castaway and an avid Survivor fan, Davis has been trying his luck to make it to the show since 2020. His dream turned into reality when he was finally chosen for the 46th season of Survivor, filmed in Fiji last year. The announcement of his selection was one of shock and elation, Davis shared in an interview with BC Law Magazine.

His passion for Survivor escalated during his tenure at BC Law. Davis fondly recounts watching the show with his fellow Survivor enthusiasts every Wednesday from his first year and now looks forward to them watching him compete on the show this spring.

As a former cross country team captain, Davis anticipates leveraging his running prowess to gain a competitive edge on the reality show. He believes his endurance experience would be beneficial in outlasting the competition. Simultaneously, this law student faces the intriguing dual countdown of his graduation from law school in May and his bid to win the show.

The much-anticipated 46th season of Survivor will premiere on February 28. As Davis navigates his trial by fire on Survivor, the legal world sends best wishes hoping to applaud their representative as the Sole Survivor.
