Supreme Court Upholds Whirlpool Injunction Against Chinese Kitchen Stand Mixer Company

On 20th February, 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a request from a Chinese corporation to examine a Fifth Circuit verdict. The court had temporarily banned the enterprise from marketing their kitchen stand mixers, following allegations from Whirlpool Corp. that the products violated the registered trade dress associated with its KitchenAid mixers. As a result of the denial from the Supreme Court, the temporary prohibition remains in place for the time being. As the situation develops, this matter will continue to draw attention in the legal and corporate world alike.
