Fish & Richardson Expands Life Sciences Team with Fogel and Van Horn Addition

Fish & Richardson, a prominent legal services provider, has announced the addition of two key members- Louis Fogel and Shaun Van Horn to their litigation group, particularly the life sciences industry team in Chicago. The move, announced on Wednesday, aims to strengthen the firm’s expertise in life sciences.

Louis Fogel brings valuable experience in a variety of areas including Hatch-Waxman disputes on the brand-side, biosimilar litigation and counseling, medical device litigation, IP antitrust, and trade secrets issues. Fogel’s strong background in these areas was acknowledged by Fish & Richardson in their statement.

Van Horn, on the other hand, has a proven record of handling patent litigation for biosimilars companies and other biotech innovators. His work has also encompassed counseling on various IP-related antitrust issues.

Prior to joining Fish and Richardson, both Fogel and Van Horn were partners at Jenner & Block. Notably, Fogel also co-chaired the life sciences practice at the firm.

The inclusion of these experienced professionals as part of the litigation group and members of the life sciences industry team showcases Fish & Richardson’s drive to cater to the nuanced legal needs of the life sciences industry.
