Greenberg Traurig delivered an impressive annual performance last year, with revenue gains witnessing an upward streak and a boost in head count. Even though it seems like a deceleration from the previous year, the firm faced its share of brisk pace in revenue growth in the years 2021 and 2022. CEO Brian Duffy expresses that the current moderate growth may appear to be a slowdown due to the exceptional performances witnessed in these years.
The giant Am Law 100 firm had a 6% revenue boost, surpassing $2.3 billion in 2023. The year 2023 was a significant year for the company as it expanded both its revenue and team. The firm opened four new offices in the same year and expanded head count by 4.7% to 2,538 lawyers, indicating an aggressive expansion agenda.
In addition to the above, the revenue per lawyer also saw a hike, with a rise of 1.2%, reaching $907,000. This manifests the company’s focus on effectiveness and efficiency in its operations and functioning. With these substantial growth figures, Greenberg Traurig continues to solidify its position in the legal domain, demonstrating robust performance in the midst of expansion into nonequity tiers.
