Ex-Federal Prosecutors Elliott and Sauter Bolster McGuireWoods’ White-Collar Practice

In a noteworthy recruitment move, two former federal prosecutors, Michael Elliott and Mindy Sauter, have taken on partner roles at McGuireWoods. The newly onboarded partners will be associated with government investigations and white-collar litigation practice in the firm’s Dallas office, according to a statement released by the firm last Wednesday.

Elliott and Sauter bring their rich experience from their time serving as assistant US attorneys. While Elliott functioned in the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas, Sauter held her role in the Northern District of Texas. Prior to this, Sauter had built her profile working as a state prosecutor. Their credentials also include founding Elliott Sauter PLLC in 2017.

Having demonstrated expertise in representing individuals and corporations alike, Elliott and Sauter’s responsibilities encompass handling criminal proceedings, internal investigations, and civil litigation. Their focus areas include dealing with complex healthcare regulatory and compliance issues.

In addition to the two former prosecutors, Chris Quinlan has also joined McGuireWoods as counsel. Offering an enriched portfolio of personnel, the firm continues to safeguard and represent its clients’ interests effectively.
