1-800-Flowers.com Seeks $4.3M in Legal Fees After Winning Trademark Dispute

On Tuesday, flower delivery company 1-800-Flowers.com made a formal appeal to a Georgia federal judge claiming entitlement to recover up to $4.3 million in attorney fees. This comes in wake of the company’s successful defense against a trademark infringement lawsuit brought by rival firm Edible Arrangements. According to the latter party, 1-800-Flowers.com allegedly infringed upon their trademark, but the court ruled otherwise.

Notably, 1-800-Flowers.com characterized the lawsuit from Edible Arrangements as “anemic” and “oppressive”, citing these as justifications for their claim of extensive legal costs incurred. The final decision on whether the multimillion-dollar law expenses can be recouped now rests with the judiciary.
