Venerable law firm Kirkland & Ellis welcomed Victoria Shusterman, an accomplished lawyer, as a partner in its esteemed real estate practice group earlier this week. Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Shusterman was an integral part of the legal team at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.
Shusterman brings to the table an impressive breadth of experience, with a notable history in representing credit funds, private equity firms, domestic and foreign commercial banks, and insurance companies in commercial real estate financing transactions. Her expertise is expected to enrich the competencies of the real estate practice group at Kirkland & Ellis.
The move from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher to Kirkland & Ellis is indicative of the constant dynamism endemic to the practice of law. Firms, in an effort to constantly evolve and meet the needs of their clients, frequently attract new talent, such as Shusterman, that bring unique skills and perspective to the table.
The partnership announcement was made public on Tuesday by Kirkland & Ellis. Further details about the terms of her partnership have not been disclosed as yet.
