The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has elected not to revise the decision made by an administrative law judge in relation to Shoals Technologies Group’s solar technology patent conflict with Voltage LLC. According to the judge’s ruling, Shoals was said to have failed to demonstrate that they have a domestic industry for one of the solar technology patents that they claim Voltage LLC has infringed upon.
Shoals Technologies Group, a global leader in solar energy technology, had accused Voltage LLC, a well-known name within the industry, of infringing on one of their solar technology patents. However, the inability of Shoals to show a domestic industry for this particular patent ultimately went against them, leading to the ITC’s support of partial victory for Voltage.
