AI-Powered Contract Collaboration Platform Streamlines Negotiation Process

It was just over a year ago when a fresh legal tech startup, The Contract Network, came out of stealth, with a mission to “radically accelerate the time for contract negotiations”. They plan on doing this by implementing an AI-powered contract collaboration platform that allows all parties involved in a deal to engage in a safe, neutral environment.

The company’s cofounder and CEO, Jim Wagner, is a seasoned expert in the legal tech space with a history of initiating and leading thriving companies in the sectors of contracting and e-discovery. This includes his previous involvement in the cofunding of the e-discovery company DiscoverReady, his presidency of contract management and analytics company Seal Software, and his vice presidency in agreement cloud strategy at DocuSign, post the acquisition of Seal.

With the launch of The Contract Network, Wagner’s objective is to “change contracts for good”. He intends on resolving the issues of lengthy contract negotiations and the lack of tools for instantaneous collaboration, interaction and transparency among all engaged parties.

In a recent episode on LawNext, Wagner shared his perspectives on the traditional contract negotiation process and its limitations, and how The Contract Network can offer an improved alternative. Wagner, leveraging his 30-year career in this arena, also shared his views on how the industry has changed and its current situation.
