Philadelphia Law Firms Expand to Boston, Hiring Top Attorneys to Bolster Presence

Philadelphia-founded firms are embracing Boston as a growth opportunity, with Am Law 100 stalwarts Blank Rome and Cozen O’Connor both announcing attorney hires aimed at bolstering their presences in the region. Leaders of both firms are enthusiastic about the opportunities the city presents across a range of practices.

Cozen O’Connor has brought on Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott labor and employment veteran Walter Foster as a shareholder to help build out the firm’s presence in the city after launching a new office at the end of 2022. Blank Rome, meanwhile, launched its Boston office at the start of May with a group of 25 Burns & Levinson attorneys and recently added on three more lawyers from the same firm.
