Chris Marando has joined Perkins Coie as an intellectual property and patent litigation partner in its Washington office, the firm announced on Monday. Marando brings extensive experience advising high-tech clients on major patent infringement and validity disputes, representing them in federal district courts, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the US International Trade Commission, and the US Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Marando’s practice encompasses all aspects of patent litigation, from discovery and claim construction to trial. He also has experience with the inter partes review process at the US Patent and Trademark Office. His addition to Perkins Coie’s Washington office is expected to bolster the firm’s capabilities in handling complex intellectual property matters.
