Alice Hrdy has joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius as a partner in its Washington office after three decades of service with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the firm announced
on Monday.
Hrdy served as the principal deputy assistant director of the CFPB’s office of supervision policy. In her new role at Morgan Lewis, Hrdy will provide strategic counsel to banks, financial services firms, fintech, and tech companies in responding to inquiries from financial regulatory agencies. She will represent clients in examinations, investigations, and contested supervisory matters before several agencies, including the FTC, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Reserve Board.
This addition to Morgan Lewis strengthens the firm’s ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and deliver critical advisement on supervisory matters. The move is seen as a bolstering of the firm’s expertise in managing interactions with financial regulatory bodies amid a continually evolving compliance environment.
