A California federal jury has awarded Qualcomm spin-off Omnitracs $19.3 million in lost profits and a $140,000 royalty in its patent infringement case against Platform Sciences. The jury found that Platform Sciences, founded by a former Omnitracs executive, willfully infringed on one of Omnitracs’ fleet management software patents.
