New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Lee A. Solomon Retires, Reflects on Distinguished Career

New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice Lee A. Solomon is set to retire upon reaching the mandatory retirement age on August 17. In a recent interview, Justice Solomon reflected on his time in the judiciary and how his extensive legal experience, including roles as a Camden County assignment judge, a former assemblyman, a state and federal prosecutor, and president of the state Board of Public Utilities, influenced his approach as a justice. Appointed to the high court in June 2014 by Governor Chris Christie, Solomon shared that he always strived to retain the perspective of a trial lawyer throughout his tenure.

In his own words, Justice Solomon expressed a desire for a lasting positive remembrance of his multifaceted career in public service: “I want people to remember me fondly as a member of the court at every level and, frankly, at every job. That is the best I could ask for.” To learn more about Justice Solomon’s reflections and career, please visit the New Jersey Law Journal.
