Baltimore has secured a $152.5 million settlement with Cardinal Health related to allegations that the pharmaceutical distributor played a role in the nation’s opioid crisis. The settlement was achieved with the aid of Susman Godfrey, who collaborated closely with Baltimore’s legal team. The resolution was publicly announced on August 16 and marks a significant step in ongoing opioid-related litigation against other parties.
“We continue to be proud to partner with Mayor [Brandon] Scott and the City of Baltimore to fight this deadly epidemic and bring justice to everyone affected by it,” said Susman Godfrey partner Bill Carmody in a statement.
