A New York lawsuit filed on behalf of five licensed hemp retailers alleges they have become collateral damage in the state Office of Cannabis Management’s raids of illicit marijuana businesses. The suit, presented in the state Supreme Court of Albany County by Mandelbaum Barrett partner Joshua S. Bauchner, claims the state has been conducting “warrantless military style raids” under the “guise” of administrative inspections against licensed hemp retailers.
The Article 78 claim seeks to restrain the state government from engaging in these tactics, which the plaintiffs argue are unjust and harmful to legitimate businesses. You can read more about the lawsuit here.
