Armstrong Teasdale recently experienced the departure of a significant group of real estate attorneys specialized in condominium and cooperative housing, who have joined Fox Rothschild. The group, which moved to Armstrong Teasdale in 2019, consists of partners Howard Schechter, Andrew Brucker, Dale Degenshein, Peter Massa, Julie Schechter, and Eric Wohl. Also included in the exodus were two counsel, two associates, four paralegals, and two support staff members.
This loss highlights ongoing challenges within law firms to integrate niche practices. According to Jay Wager, the chief business development officer at Armstrong Teasdale, the firm ultimately struggled to assimilate the specialized nature of this real estate group into its broader practice areas.
