In-House Counsel Satisfaction Survey 2025: Flexibility Praised But Burnout Persists

The 2025 In-House Counsel Satisfaction Survey conducted by Law360 Pulse reveals that while in-house attorneys often enjoy schedule flexibility and longer vacations, they face significant challenges related to extended working hours and limited career advancement opportunities. Despite high levels of satisfaction with outside counsel—about 75% express positive sentiments—a notable portion of corporate lawyers are dealing with burnout and struggle to find a satisfactory work-life balance. More than 400 in-house counsel participated in the survey, sharing insights on their job satisfaction, workplace experiences, and career prospects.
